Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. The actress grew up having big hopes. Her greatest roles are the spy action film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic thriller Precious. Her childhood was lived living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. The idea of instilling a love for films in her daughter was something that was a gift from her mother she also enjoyed watching films. Paula loved participating in school co-curricular activities and she was a huge fan of drama. She loved to play act with her classmates and took part in school's stage shows. She was a part of numerous performances at the high school of Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to take up acting as a career. As a student in a summer camp at the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. The program awarded her a 3-month contract making documentaries for PBS. Following the successful completion of the assignment, she began being an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. The next thing she did was start producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable however, she always wanted to become an actor. She began her acting career through a tiny role in the romantic comedy film Hitch along with Will Smith. In the years since, she has been in numerous film and television shows.
